Wavves Release "Life Sux" EP

I imagine the recording process for Wavves goes something like this:

1. Nathan Williams gets really high. (This really shouldn't be a step. More a basic assumption of how the universe works.)
2. Someone turns on a portable recording device.
3. Nathan Williams starts moaning in semi-musical tones and proceeds to break all of the strings on his guitar.
4. Nathan Williams goes to sleep.
5. Gnomes break into Nathan Williams home, steal his recording device, and re-record the songs into a listenable format.

It's no wonder Wavves hasn't released anything of significant length since 2010's "King of the Beach".

The "Life Sux" EP is somewhat of a culmination of the various styles Wavves have been shifting between for the last few years. Personally, I prefer the surf-rock sound in "King of The Beach" over the disgusting noise-rock/lo-fi that characterizes Wavves early work. This EP combines the two, favoring the "King of the Beach" sound. I quite enjoy what I'm hearing from the gnomes these days. You can check out the trippiest video ever while you listen to the sound of acid below.
